The New Mumia

Seitelplasm has a good post on Hollywood's love affair with convicted murderers:

Well, given Jamal’s death sentence commutation and Hollywood’s short attention span, it was only a matter of time before they found another murderer to glorify. This time, his name is Stanley Williams, founder of the Crips (a violent gang in LA). Williams killed four people, including a family of Taiwanese immigrants. After shooting one of his victims, he reportedly laughed at the gurgling sounds said victim was making. He’s never once apologized to the families of his victims. On death row since 1981, his execution is finally scheduled for Dec. 13; a clemency hearing with the Governator is scheduled for Dec. 8.

So why all the fuss? Well, Williams, you see, is a “new man.” He’s used his time in prison to write children’s books and speak out against gangs (while refusing to renounce his own membership). Hell, he’s even been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, as if it has anything to do with “peace” anymore (see recipient Yasser Arafat, father of modern terrorism). All of this, say his supporters (including Snoop Dogg, Tim Robbins, and again, Susan Sarandon), makes it incumbent upon Governor Schwarzenegger to commute his death sentence.

OK, Hollywood, I get it. You and the looney left are outraged about this execution. As usual, however, you have it backwards. This man killed four people, and had the gall to laugh about it. I don’t care how many children’s books you write or Nobel prizes you win, nothing excuses that.

The man murdered immigrants in cold blood, just as Mumia Abu Jamal murdered Officer Danny Faulkner on a cold Philly street. I guess it soothes their "Limousine Liberal" psyche's to aid in the commutation of this scumbag's sentence.

Here's a description of the murders via Wikipedia:

Williams was convicted of murdering Albert Owens, Thsai-Shai Yang, Yen-I Yang, and Yee Chen Lin in 1979 during two separate robberies.

The murder of Albert Owens occurred February 28, 1979 at a 7-11 Market on Whittier Blvd in Pico Rivera, California. According to the prosecution, during the robbery, Williams shot Owens in the back of the head, execution style. According to an accomplice, when asked why he had shot Owens, Williams explained that he didn't want to leave any witnesses. The accomplice also testified that Williams said he killed Owens "because [Owens] was white and [Williams] was killing all white people."

Three members of the Yang family were allegedly murdered by Williams on March 11, 1979. The Yang family, who were immigrants from Taiwan, included husband Yen-Yi Yang, 67 years old. The wife, Tsai-Shen Yang, was 63 years old. One of their children, Ye-Chen Lin, 43, had recently joined them from Taiwan. The family worked together operating and maintaining a motel in South Central Los Angeles.

Owens and the Yang family lost their lives, "Tookie" Williams should too. If it was a white man convicted of a hate crime such as this, Susan Sarandon and her ilk would be screaming for his head.

Finally, if Williams was "killing all white people", why did he murder the Yangs?
