The World of Blogs--A Primer

Sphere: Related Content

I've had new readers recently and they may think this site is a bit harsh (or very harsh for that matter).

This is a political site that pulls very few punches. Politics is not a pretty business, it's rough and tumble and not for those not willing to scrap once in a while.

We are in a battle for this country. This battle pits those who support President Bush in the global war on terror (regardless of how he handles domestic issues) and those who think that American hegemony must be kept in check. Those of us on the anti-terror side are fighting daily skirmishes with those who believe that America brought 9/11 on ourselves and, perhaps more importantly, their water carriers, the Main Stream Media (MSM) led by the NY Times, CNN and sites like the Huffington Post.

These skirmishes sometimes get ugly. That's how divided this nation is right now. The conflict of opinion and the establishment of facts is what drives this site and others like it.

The language may get salty and tempers may flare, but that's the new media that blogs like this are attempting to forge. The new media that allows you, the reader to agree or disagree and join in this great debate in real-time.

For those who may be new to this medium, I say welcome. Go back and sample the last 2 1/2 years of archives located at right and see how every important issue during that time has been debated. Follow the links to the posts and you will learn alot about every major issue.
