Prairie Wind

For my birthday today, my beautiful wife gave me the new Neil Young CD Prairie Wind. On first listen, it's Neil doing what he always has, going back to the roots.

Recorded in Nashville with the old gang including Spooner Oldham and backing vocals by Pegi Young and the always excellent Emmylou Harris, this CD has the feel of Harvest (including strings) with a bit of Harvest Moon thrown in.

The title song is my favorite at this point with No Wonder right up there.

This is Neil at his best at first listen and highly recommended.
