Rehnquist Passes

Chief Justice William Rehnquist has died. Tigerhawk has some thoughts as does Rossputin.

Echoing Rossputin, the politics to be displayed in this coming conressional session are going to be really ugly. Even the mere mentioning of Clarence Thomas and Chief Justice in the same breath will send liberals into a blind rage like the Tasmanian Devil.

Update: (Sunday 0930) The AP and news are reporting that Roberts is the choice. A brilliant move by Bush.
