Cheryl Saban has an unusually sane post at Arianna's site:
Now, after the last Israeli solder has departed Gaza, the Palestinians need to show at least a fraction of the resolve, calm, and maturity demonstrated by the Israelis. The posturing and bragging of the masked, gun-toting, militant factions that inspire violence must stop so that level-headed city-builders can actually build something worth living in for the Palestinian population who will now reclaim Gaza.
This monumental event was not a victory for the militants. They are behaving like spoiled, petulant, immature children. Au contraire, this was a victory for Israel – for democracy, for rule of law, for children and families who had to make difficult decisions, and make life-altering changes because of a deep desire to live in peace.
Of course, the looneys that inhabit Arianna's world couldn't wait to let loose on a woman who would post anything remotely complimentary of Israel or the evil Ariel Sharon:
Cheryl:What is the sum total of aid (it's in the 100s of billions) given to the state of Israel by the U.S. taxpayer? What is the sum total of aid given to the Palestinians? Do you have any idea of the existence of the average Palestinian in their land illegally occupied by armed invaders? Think it would be a christian idea for us to open the purse strings to assure the new state of Palestine works? We've done it before.Do you think the old East Germany belonged to the old USSR?

Of course, what would comments to a pro-Israel post be without a reference to the vile Protocols of the Elders of Zion:
Oh, those philanthropic, magnanimous Israelis - where would world peace be without them...
The proof is in the blood pudding...

Arianna has gotten the attention of the raving lunatics that formerly inhabited DU and Indymedia. She should be really proud.

The Hate That Israel Inspires

Ludicrous. Palestininians should grow up and emulate the noble Paul Newman clones who filled our television screens during the pullback from Gaza? Perhaps we should compare these saintly 8000 with the hundreds of thousands of arabs driven out by the Israelis decades ago; but there wasn't any media coverage then--or since.
Israel inspires its share of hate to be sure, but most of what it inspires is sadness. Sadness at what it has become and the lies that attend it.
Many agree with this view, but say so at their peril.

Hey anonymous, what happened to those Arabs who stayed in Israel? They were not murdered and raped as the Grand Mufti insisted they would be. Those that left were supposed to be sheltered by other Arab nations. Those nations turned their collective backs on the refugees they told to leave Israel.
Read a little history, you may learn something. And next time have the huevos to use a name.
