According to the lame Arianna Huffington, the "fly paper" strategy is a complete bust and we've brought it on ourselves by our actions in Iraq. I don't think so.
Update: Most "news" sites tend to run with whatever headline the newspaper or contibutor they're linking to decided to use. Not so with Arianna's site. Here's the lead paragraph from an AP article:
LONDON - The bombs that destroyed three London Underground cars and a double-decker bus each weighed less than 10 pounds and could be carried in a backpack, police said Friday. Police said the bodies of 49 people had been recovered, but warned that the number of deaths would rise.
Pretty straight forward, right? Well, halway through the story, this paragraph appears:
"Any crook with ready cash could obtain this stuff if they knew where to look for it," said Alex Standish, the editor of Jane's Intelligence Digest.
Here's how the story was headlined:
London Bombs Likely Simple and Homemade
How did Arianna's site headline this story:
London Bombs Simple, Could Be Made By "Any Crook"...
What would they be implying? That perhaps this was an act by "Any Crook" and not Islamofascists? The spin on the left is downright disgusting.
