President Bush again called out Iran. This time in much harsher terms:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush (news - web sites) said on Wednesday Iran with a nuclear weapon would be a "very destabilizing" force and that it was important for the world to speak with one voice against Tehran's program.
"The Iranians just need to know that the free world is working together to send a very clear message: Don't develop a nuclear weapon," Bush said.
"And the reason we're sending that message is because Iran with a nuclear weapon would be a very destabilizing force in the world," he said during a meeting with Poland's president.
Bush said he looked forward to discussing concerns about Iran with European allies. "It's important we speak with one voice," he said.

In Diplospeak, that's pretty harsh. A nuclear (nucular?) Iran would be destabilizing not only to neighbors Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan, but also Israel, Saudi Arabia and Syria. An Osirak type operation seems definitely to be in the offing, however this time it won't be Israel conducting the raid.

Suppose that the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Israel joined the US in striking every suspected nuclear site in Iran over one fine 24 hours. What a message to send to countries with nuclear ambitions--North Korea, for instance! So I am a dreamer! How about just the UK, Italy, and Israel with us? I guess not! We go it alone with F-117s and B-2s in the night. But we are very vulnerable in Iraq to a ground attack by Iran, and our reserves are not in place for such a war. What to do?
Pull our troops totally out of Germany, and send their families home. Deposit the whole lot in and around Mosul near the northern Iranian border. A month or three to do this, I'd think. They could cut their teeth on the Sunnis there, and prepare for a fight with Iran. Big message to Iran! Meanwhile, back at home, we need to double our recruiting, and get Congress behind the effort. The timetable for action would seem to be out about three or four months from now, say June...
