The Battle for DNC Chief

Sphere: Related Content

I wrote last week about the search for a new head of the Democratic National Committee and pined for Howard Dean to get the gig. They may have a candidate that would make me even happier and he could keep the same office:

Moderate Democrats have been searching for an alternative to Dean for the chairmanship, concerned that the former governor would lead the party in a more liberal direction. Some senior Democrats have approached current chairman Terry McAuliffe about staying in the job.

I change my vote from Dean to McAuliffe. How pathetic is the Democratic Party that they can't find anyone worthwhile to take the DNC job. The choice now seems to be between a man who looked psychotic on national TV in Iowa and a man who has been at the helm during the lowliest time the Dems have had in decades.
