I tend not to agree with some other bloggers about George Tenet resigning. Glenn Reynolds thought he should've been fired after 9/11 and other after W took his hand off the bible in January 2001.
Not me, I think Tenet wasn't a bad director, I think it took him a year to break the out of the Clinton intelligence mode. He had to overcome the Gorelick "wall" and other obstacles. Have we been lucky that another attack hasn't occurred? Possibly. I think it's a combination of good intelligence work and a bit of luck. Tenet deserves some of the credit. I think him and Bush clicked. Bush may back his people to a fault, but I'd rather have that than a guy who boots people when the politics of a situation dictate it.
