I agree that Bush should have gone on al-Arabiya and explained that the abuse of the Iraqi prisoners was wrong, but alas, it will not change the opinion of the Arab world:
Soldiers who took part in the prisoner abuse, Manal Abed, 24, said, "should get the same punishment as the people who committed the genocide, the mass graves. That way, there would be balance."
The abuse that was inflicted upon those prisoners was despicable, but give me a friggin break, it was not even remotely akin to genocide or mass graves. You want balance, how about we just say we made a big mistake, pull out, shave Saddam, reinstall him to power, let him open up the rape rooms again, and let's see Saddam go in front of the worlactions of his associates. Balance that.
By the way, the Inquirer only shows the soldiers who died in Iraq, that is so disrespectful to the soldiers fighting, and dying, in Afghanistan.
