As I've said on numerous occasions, what is more important to you in the presidential election, the economy or security? What about the approval of the worlds leaders that Kerry is using as an issue? Americans seem to understand that our security is up to us:

For one thing, Kerry did little to inform us. Americans are well aware that residents of most other nations don’t like us. A Fox News/Opinion Dynamics nationwide poll of registered voters taken last October showed that 62 percent believe that “people living in other countries around the world” generally hold unfavorable opinions of the United States today. Only 18 percent said that foreigners hold favorable views of the United States.

Fortunately, most Americans don’t see this as justification for Kerry-like catering to disgruntled neighbors around the globe, and are prepared to go it alone if necessary.

This conclusion seems born out by a recent Pew multinational study conducted in February. The “global attitudes” project asked residents of several nations whether a country should have United Nations approval before using military force “to deal with an international threat.” Whereas 63 percent of Kerry’s French friends and a whopping 80 percent of his German friends say that U.N. approval is necessary, only 41 percent of Americans agree.

Amen.
