The Elizabeth Smart case makes me feel very uneasy. It has from the beginning. This is just too much though;
Hollywood likes a gripping saga. It loves a happy ending. It lusts when those two come together, and pays big when the denouement is downright incredible.
Enter the story of Elizabeth Smart.
In the five days since the kidnapped teen returned home, the family's spokesman has fielded more than 3,000 media calls and received nearly 100 film, book or made-for-TV-movie proposals.
Is it really a happy ending? We don't know what happened with this girl and what kind of hell she went through. If this were my child, I would become a recluse with my family and not speak to anyone for a few months so my daughter could get treatment without interference.
