Monday Morning Thoughts

A sports hangover is weighing down on me. The Phils clinch the NLDS and the Eagles look like they've never played football before. The Phils get Manny, Joe and the Dodgers with home fiewld advantage. They split 4-4 during the season.

Anyway, here's some thoughts for a new week.

-Is it me or with the current financial/economic meltdown occurring, do the environmental/global warming nuts sound even more moronic than ever?

-With only a month to go, does John McCain realize that he needs to inject some urgency in his campaign? With the exception of Palin, the rest of the campaign is acting like it's August, not October.

-Another Obama scandal. Thank goodness the NY Post isn't in the tank like the NYT, the WaPo, the AP, AFP...

-Thirteen years to the day he beat a murder rap, O.J. Simpson is convicted and headed to the slam.

-Russia still cozying up to Chavez. I say we send a few warships down to "watch" the training.
