It appears Ariel Sharon has taken a serious turn:
The Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is expected to die today, doctors say. He has a ''slim'' chance of surviving an operation to repair damage to his digestive tract. ''We expect him to die today,'' a hospital source said.
Mr Sharon is undergoing surgery after his condition worsened suddenly this morning.
