Romney, a former Massachusetts governor, led McCain 40 percent to 32 percent in California, where the margin of error was 3.3 percentage points. A win in California, the most populous state, could help puncture McCain's growing momentum in the Republican nomination fight.Granted, it's Zogby but it bodes well for Romney. Perhaps the constant din of talk radio (and to a lesser extent the blogosphere) condemning McCain is having an effect with the electorate. Laura Ingraham, Rush, Hannity, Levin and every other right-talker who gets any ratings is pounding the drum.
As`Allah points out, Cali is not winner take all but it is significant and could stem the tide.
For us political junkies, tomorrow is the Superbowl (TM) so get ready for the biggest primary day in US history.
